    Assistant Dean of Nursing - Workforce Development | Leadership Role in Nursing Education

    We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Dean of Nursing to join our growing healthcare education team. This strategic leadership position offers the opportunity to shape the future of nursing education while overseeing critical workforce development initiatives. Working in close partnership with the Dean of Nursing, you will manage nursing program operations, ensure regulatory compliance, supervise faculty and clinical partnerships, and drive student success across our Workforce Development site.     Key Responsibilities
    • Nursing Program Management: Plan, develop, and evaluate nursing programs; ensure accreditation and regulatory compliance; oversee faculty development, clinical sites, curriculum design, budget administration, and program advocacy
    • Administrative Leadership: Maintain comprehensive program records and reporting systems; collaborate with Human Resources on faculty recruitment and retention; actively participate in college committees and governance structures
    • Clinical Operations Oversight: Assess and secure clinical training sites; manage clinical staffing and student placements; conduct faculty and site evaluations; maintain healthcare partner communications; negotiate and oversee clinical affiliation contracts
    • Instructional Excellence: Provide direct classroom and clinical instruction; develop innovative curriculum and teaching methodologies; implement evidence-based pedagogical approaches; ensure timely delivery of assignments, grading, and student evaluations
    • Student Success Initiatives: Coordinate new student orientations; provide academic advising and mentorship; develop intervention strategies for at-risk students; ensure graduation requirements and NCLEX licensing exam compliance
    • Strategic Planning: Support the Dean in long-term program planning, workforce needs assessment, and community healthcare partnerships
    Required Qualifications
    • Current, valid, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where the Workforce Development site is located
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
    • Minimum one (1) year of teaching experience in an accredited nursing education program
    • Minimum one (1) year of clinical nursing experience as a registered nurse in a healthcare setting
    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong organizational and project management skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with diverse stakeholders
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively in team-based educational environments
    • Proficiency with educational technology platforms including MS Teams, Zoom, and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor faculty and students effectively
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or active enrollment in an MSN or related graduate program
    • Previous experience in nursing program administration or coordination
    • Knowledge of nursing accreditation standards (ACEN, CCNE) and state board regulations
    • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies
