    Assistant Director – Early Childhood Education

    The Learning Experience – Beltline (Grand Rapids) Salary: $45,000 – $48,000 per year Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

    The Learning Experience – Beltline is looking for a motivated and organized Assistant Director to help oversee daily operations and support our growing school community. This role is perfect for an experienced early childhood professional who enjoys leadership, mentoring teams, and delivering excellent family experiences.

    You will serve as a key partner to the Center Director in ensuring the school runs smoothly, remains compliant, and continues to provide high-quality care and education.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support the leadership and daily management of the center

    Maintain compliance with Michigan licensing, health, and safety regulations

    Hire, train, and develop teaching and administrative staff

    Help drive enrollment, retention, and family satisfaction

    Oversee staffing, scheduling, payroll support, and operational processes

    Conduct school tours and assist with community outreach

    Promote a positive, professional, and accountable work culture

    Ideal Background

    Previous experience in childcare leadership, preschool administration, or center management

    Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills

    Solid understanding of licensing and operational requirements

    Passion for team development and quality early childhood education
