We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and highly motivated Assistant Director / Lead Teacher to join our leadership team. This role combines classroom leadership with administrative responsibilities to support daily operations and maintain a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early childhood professional who is passionate about teaching and has hands-on experience working in a Texas Rising Star (TRS) facility.
Responsibilities
Assist the Director with daily operations, staff supervision, and scheduling
Lead classroom instruction and implement age-appropriate lesson plans
Ensure compliance with Texas Rising Star standards, state licensing, and health and safety regulations
Support and mentor teaching staff to maintain high-quality instruction
Communicate effectively with families and build strong relationships
Monitor and assess children’s progress
Assist with staff training, special events, and program improvements
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in early childhood education
Preferred: Experience working in a Texas Rising Star (TRS) facility
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of child development and early education best practices
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Valid driver’s license
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
