Our busy hotel is looking for an energetic senior assistant director of finance with excellent attention to detail who can focus on the bottom line to keep our hotel profitable. We require a financial expert who can monitor internal control systems and make necessary changes to help increase revenue. You'll be in charge of reconciling general ledger accounts, processing payroll, monthly forecasting, and creating an annual budget. Our ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of team management experience, preferably in hospitality, as well as a finance degree. Responsibilities: • Recommend changes that will enhance profitability by reviewing balance sheets, income statements, and expense accounts and ensuring their accuracy • Produce monthly forecasts and annual budgets to assist the day-to-day accounting procedures and operations • Effectively monitor and track all accounts receivable, while also creating and controlling accounts payable invoicing • Execute payroll audits monthly and provide paychecks to all employees • Verify general ledger accounts, investigate and correct account discrepancies, and review daily revenue activity list to ensure accountability Qualifications: • Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks • Candidates must have at least 3 years of previous work in hospitality, preferably in a full-service hotel • Superior customer service skills, math skills, relationship skills, and communication skills are preferred • High school diploma or equivalent GED required; degree in finance or related field preferred Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 yearly
