To ensure guest satisfaction in all food and beverage outlets and event spaces by maintaining and managing the highest standards of products and services while maximizing profitability through cost and labor control. Responsible for all functions within the food and beverage area, including but not limited to purchases, service, sanitation, staff, training, equipment costs, and revenues. Responsibilities: • Hires, trains, directs, and motivates all departmental staff. Oversees scheduling of food and beverage outlets and encourages high morale amongst staff in order to reduce turnover. • Oversees the ordering of cafe food and beverage purchases including food, beverages, supplies, equipment, etc. Maintains inventory to maximize profitability. • Recommends and implements advertising strategies to increase revenues and sales. • Maintains an awareness of competition through continual inspections and reviews of local promotions. • Inspects all food and beverage equipment for proper maintenance. • Inspects and ensures proper sanitary conditions of all refrigerators and storerooms. • Ensures guest and employee satisfaction by circulating through food and beverage areas. • Maintains standard operating procedures for all food and beverage outlets, including corporate and franchise requirements. • Ensures that all food and beverage areas meet requirements of the Board of Health and other governing agencies. • Ensures that all staff is properly trained. Ensures training, development and adherence to company and property procedures. • Participates in weekly staff meetings. • Maintains communication between all property departments. Qualifications: • Strong insight into the latest culinary industry trends and can demonstrate sufficient knowledge of portion and plating standards • 3+ years in food and beverage management or supervision • Must have a food handling license • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent experience - higher education in hospitality or hospitality management is a plus • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills
