Assistant Director Of Sales & Marketing
The Assistant Director of Sales is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue, leading group/corporate sales efforts, and assisting the Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM). This role balances strategic sales planning with team mentoring, client account management, and cross-departmental operations. This is a selling role. Responsibilities: • Revenue & Sales Strategy: Develop deployment and sales strategies to maximize group room revenues, corporate transient volume, and catering bookings by analyzing market mix and competitor data. • Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and manage sales managers and administrative staff. Conduct regular 1-on-1s and implement performance goals to build a proactive sales environment. • Key Account Management: Maintain and solicit high-value corporate accounts, meeting planners, and repeat leisure/group guests to secure direct sales. • Site Tours & Client Relations: Conduct property tours for prospective clients and handle contract negotiations or escalated service recovery issues. • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist the DOSM in compiling data for the annual sales and marketing budget, evaluating monthly P&L statements, and forecasting quarterly revenue. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the catering, event execution, food & beverage, and front office departments to ensure seamless delivery of the guest experience. Qualifications: • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Hotel/Restaurant Management, or equivalent years of experience. • Experience: 2 to 5+ years of progressive, proven experience in hospitality sales, with a track record of meeting/exceeding revenue goals and successfully supervising teams. • Software Proficiency: Strong familiarity with industry-standard PMS Systems and Sales/Catering platforms. • Soft Skills: Superior communication, innovative problem-solving, strong financial acumen, and an organized approach to account management. Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 yearly
