About the Role:

The Learning Experience #444 in Fredericksburg, VA is looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Director to join our team! In this leadership role, you'll help shape a nurturing, educational environment where children thrive and families feel at home. Responsibilities:

Support the Center Director in daily operations of the childcare facility

Supervise, mentor, and coach classroom teachers and support staff

Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and company policies

Assist with enrollment, family communication, and parent engagement initiatives

Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment for all children

Step in to lead the center in the Director's absence

Support curriculum implementation and monitor classroom quality standards

Requirements:

Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred

2+ years of experience in a childcare or early education setting

Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred

Knowledge of Virginia childcare licensing regulations is a plus

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Warm, professional demeanor with a passion for child development
