The Assistant Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of Vinco Academy. The Assistant Director will also be responsible for the ongoing development and direction of staff to ensure quality care. The Assistant Director will coordinate with the Director and Education Coordinator in planning and implementing curriculum, schedules, goals, and daily activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Manage staff by planning work schedules and assisting with the implementation of curriculum.
· Assist the Director with developing and designating daily program activities
· Develop, train, and orient all new hires and staff.
· Build rapport with parents and family of scholars.
· Foster an educational, caring, and safe environment for scholars and parents.
· Complete new hire shadowing schedules.
· Perform daily supervisions and performance improvement of staff.
· Provide a safe, structure and educational environment.
· Schedule monthly meetings with staff.
· Correspond with Director and Human Resources concerning staff growth and performance.
· Assist in the promotion of the social, physical, and intellectual growth of each scholar.
· Enforce compliance of all State and Local regulatory agencies as well as Vinco Academy policies and procedures.
· Act as Incident Commander in the absence of the Director.
· Approve of staff timesheets.
· Other duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Technologically Proficient
· Excellent customer service skills
· Effective communicator both oral and written.
· Able to work independently and be a competent team player
· Capable of lifting without restrictions
· FBI fingerprint, PA Criminal Background Check, Drug Screen, Child Abuse and Physician Approval
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, with a minimum of 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.
· Minimum 5 years of experience with children.
· Minimum of 2 years of supervisory and progressive leadership experience in an educational environment

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and work instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate well with students, staff, guardians, and senior management.

· First Aid and CPR certified
