    Assistant Director of Education (ECE Leadership)

    Sakonnet Early Learning Center – Tiverton, RI Full-Time | $680–$850 per week | Monday–Friday

    Are you an experienced Early Childhood Education leader ready to coach teachers, strengthen curriculum, and elevate program quality?

    Sakonnet Early Learning Center is hiring an Assistant Director of Education to support instructional leadership, licensing compliance, and staff development in our licensed early childhood program serving infants through Pre-K.

    This is an ideal opportunity for an ECE professional with strong knowledge of DCYF regulations, RIELDS standards, BrightStars (QRIS), and curriculum implementation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Ensure compliance with DCYF licensing regulations, ratios, and health & safety standards

    Support BrightStars (QRIS) quality initiatives

    Coach and mentor teachers through classroom observations

    Support Creative Curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)

    Guide implementation of SEL, PBIS/Conscious Discipline, STEAM, and inclusive practices

    Support assessment systems, including Teaching Strategies GOLD

    Maintain documentation and support systems such as Procare / Brightwheel

    Assist with staff onboarding, training, and professional development

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)

    Master’s degree preferred

    Minimum 3 years of ECE experience

    At least 1 year in a leadership, supervisory, or instructional coaching role

    Working knowledge of RIELDS, DCYF regulations, and BrightStars standards

    CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)

    Must pass all required background checks
