Job Title: Assistant Director of Grace Place
Reports to: Director of Grace Place Time Status: Full Time
SUMMARY
The Grace Place Assistant Director will be a support & coordinator for all areas of Grace Place Afterschool and Summer Camp.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following but is not limited to:
GRACE PLACE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR DUTIES:
Assist in fulfilling DOE regulations in areas such as training, attendance checking, and related documentation, and employee and child file maintenance.
Assist in handling sensitive matters such as accident and discipline reports, along with communication to parents regarding such reports.
Accompany the Director of Grace Place in meetings and functions of GP and GBC events or serve opportunities.
Manage and/or assist in various administrative responsibilities such as:
Weekly scheduling of Grace Place staff.
Connecteam
Canva
Assist the Director with FMX scheduling.
Walking around campus while students are here to ensure things are running smoothly.
Scheduling and communication of transportation for Grace Place.
Assuring classrooms have adequate supplies.
Filling needs as necessary in understaffed rooms.
Setting up devotional materials.
Ensuring staff has any items they may need (if applicable).
Answering e-mails to the Grace Place & Procare account.
Other duties as assigned.
**If the Director is out of the office
Assist in preparing for staff training
Communication with parents, students and staff if the Director is out or needs assistance.
Classroom assistance
Discipline
Student injury
Providing input regarding snack, meal, and field trip planning
Making snack calendar and orders
Helping contact field trip destinations
Preparing for parent orientation
Maintaining emergency contact information for staff & Grace Place students
Maintain health history records for Grace Place students
Assist the Director in DOE visit preparation
Assist Grace Place Summer Camp as needed for covering rooms for ratio, field trips, and other duties as needed.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to use a computer, telephone, and copier
Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications
Excel
Capacity to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty and staff
Must have excellent interpersonal skills

Must be an effective communicator with good speaking and writing skills with the ability to communicate professionally, tactfully, and effectively to a wide variety of individuals

Must be a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Possesses a biblical worldview.
Fully supportive of the decisions and loyal to the mission and leadership of Grace Place and Grace Baptist Church.
WORK HOURS/SCHEDULE
During the School Year, Monday to Friday 9:30 am – 6 pm
During the Summer, Fall Break, Spring Break, and potentially Christmas Break, workdays remain Monday to Friday, but the hours may change depending on the need for shift coverage. Work hours and schedule require flexibility based on the needs of the program.
Summer shift hours may be: 9 am – 6 pm
WORK EXPERIENCE
· Minimum 1-3 years of experience working with similar after-school/childcare programs.
