Job Title: Assistant Kids Culinary Programming Director Pay: $22.50/hour Schedule: Part-time, 15 hours per week of administrative duties plus traveling to locations for classes Location: Hudson Table - 5 locations (must be able to travel between locations - Hoboken, NJ, Brooklyn NY, Stamford CT, Princeton, NJ, Philadelphia, PA)
About Us We are a multi-location culinary studio offering hands-on cooking and baking classes for adults and kids, catered events, exciting events like chef competitions and chef tables, and kids programming like camps, holiday classes, and birthday parties for kids and families. Our kids programs are a core part of our business, and we’re looking for an organized, culinary-driven professional to help support and grow them.
Position Overview The Assistant Kids Culinary Director will play a key role in the behind-the-scenes planning and coordination of our kids culinary programs. This position is primarily administrative, with opportunities for additional hours teaching and assisting kids classes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, experienced in the kitchen, comfortable working with kids, and excited to help shape fun, engaging culinary experiences across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Edit and organize kids' recipes and lesson plans
Post and manage kids programming, camps, and events on our website
Assist with training and supporting kids' culinary instructors (on-site & off-site)
Traveling to each location throughout the year and during summer camps to ensure quality and consistency
Help plan and coordinate kids' birthday parties
Support scheduling of instructors and assistants for kids' classes and camps
Assist with planning and coordination of seasonal programs, including summer camps
Communicate with staff and leadership to ensure smooth execution of kids' programs
Teach and assist kids cooking and baking classes as needed (additional hours - separate pay scale)
Qualifications
Culinary degree or at least 3 years of professional culinary experience
Prior experience teaching in a kitchen environment (required)
Experience working with children in a culinary or educational setting strongly preferred
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Comfortable handling administrative tasks and coordinating multiple programs
Reliable transportation and ability to travel between locations (must have a car)
Positive, professional attitude and strong communication skills
Flexible schedule needed, especially during summer months
