YOUR PURPOSE: Maintain the efficiency and success of the restaurant, private events, and tours.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
Place orders with suppliers.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, usage rates, and order history.
Conduct weekly physical inventory counts.
Identify and address issues like over-portioning, theft, or waste.
Ensure that all inventory items meet quality standards.
Rotate stock according to FIFO.
Check deliveries for accuracy and quality.
Analyze sales data and remain informed about events and promotions to predict future inventory needs.
Organize inventory storage areas and maintain proper storage conditions.
MAINTAINING DATA SYSTEMS
Ensure POS system is fully functional and current.
Train staff on proper use of POS system.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with POS system.
Use scheduling software to manage employee shifts and availability.
Audit daily time punches by staff, making corrections as necessary.
Maintain customer database with contact information and preferences.
Compose and maintain restaurant SOP's.
LABOR SCHEDULING
Analyze historical sales data, reservation trends, and special events to predict guest demand,
Anticipate busy/slow periods to adjust staff levels accordingly.
Distribute bi-weekly schedules that align with forecasted demand.
Ensure schedules comply with local, state, and federal labor laws.
Balance labor cost to stay within budget while ensuring the restaurant is adequately staffed.
Adjust schedules to avoid unnecessary overtime.
Communicate any changes or updates to the schedule promptly.
Make necessary last-minute adjustments to the schedule.
Monitor staff performance and productivity.
