ABOUT THE ROLE
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a vital leadership role in upholding and executing high standards of service across both the bar and restaurant. As a key ambassador of the brand, the AGM directly impacts guest satisfaction, team performance, and the overall success of the business.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering excellent hospitality. The AGM not only supports the General Manager (GM) but also takes the initiative to identify and resolve issues before they become problems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Trained and able to fulfill all duties associated with server and bartender responsibilities
Maintain and enforce high standards of service, cleanliness, and professionalism
Act as a hands-on leader on the floor, fostering a positive and productive environment
Build strong guest relationships and encourage repeat business through genuine hospitality
Support the GM in overseeing day-to-day operations, including FOH and BOH coordination
Proactively identify challenges and implement solutions without needing to be asked.
Set and enforce quality and conduct standards.
Train, mentor, and motivate team members to consistently perform at their best.
Step into the GM role as needed and keep the GM regularly informed of operational updates.
Contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Proactively resolve any customer service or food issues that have been reported to you
Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed – enforcing or reporting to GM as necessary
Proactive voice in promotional/marketing ideas (as assigned)
Proactively solve any customer service or food issues that have been reported to you
Assist with recruiting, training, and supervising employees.
Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback based on established performance expectations and being an active voice in performance reviews.
Floor management for shifts which include: hosting, working outside expo, helping behind the bar, and general decision making and problem solving
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience.
A hands-on, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
Knowledge of both FOH and BOH operations.
Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure.
A natural leader who can inspire, coach, and hold others accountable.
Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
A true team player who can jump into any role as needed and drive performance by example.
A problem-solver who takes initiative and ownership of challenges and outcomes.
A desire to grow with Cream City Concepts and take on increasing responsibility over time.
Comfortable with technology (POS systems, scheduling/payroll tools, etc.).
Passionate about hospitality, community engagement, and company growth.
