Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor
Candlewood Suites St. Charles is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor to support the housekeeping department in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role is hands-on and requires working alongside the housekeeping team to ensure all guest rooms and public areas meet IHG cleanliness standards. Responsibilities: • Assist with inspecting guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and brand standards are met • Support housekeeping staff with cleaning guest rooms as needed • Assist with laundry operations, including sorting, washing, folding, and distribution of linens • Help coordinate daily housekeeping assignments and priorities • Ensure rooms are ready on time for guest arrivals and occupancy • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas • Report maintenance issues and room deficiencies promptly • Provide support to the Housekeeping Supervisor in daily operations • Manage the daily tasks of the housekeeping department, including cleaning guest rooms and public areas • Document areas cleaned by room attendants and report any issues, such as room damage or maintenance requests, to the front office • Take inventory and ensure an adequate stock of cleaning supplies • Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and arrange for repairs as needed • Train housekeeping staff to perform cleaning duties and deliver customer satisfaction to expectations Qualifications: • Must be available to work weekends and holidays • Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required • Strong attention to detail and work ethic • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset • Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull housekeeping equipment and supplies as needed • Bilingual a plus Compensation: $17.75 hourly
