About the Role

We are seeking a caring and attentive Assistant Infant Teacher to support our infant classroom. This role works closely with the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and responsive environment for infants during their earliest stages of development.

The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, and passionate about infant care and early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Teacher with daily infant care routines, including feeding, diapering, and soothing.

Help maintain a safe, clean, and sanitized classroom environment.

Support infants during nap schedules, bottle feeding, and daily care routines.

Engage in age-appropriate sensory and developmental activities.

Observe and respond to infants’ needs, cues, and behaviors.

Ensure constant supervision and a calm, nurturing environment.

Assist with preparing and organizing classroom materials.

Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience working with infants in a childcare or early learning setting preferred.

Basic understanding of infant care and early development.

Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Patient, reliable, and attentive to children’s needs.

Preferred Skills

Experience in a daycare infant room or early childhood program.

Knowledge of responsive caregiving and infant development practices.

Ability to maintain a calm, consistent, and nurturing environment.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
