    Position Overview

    Amanicare Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated and dependable Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our group homes. This role is ideal for a compassionate leader with strong organizational skills who is passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities and ensuring high-quality, person-centered care.

    The assistant manager works closely with the program manager to oversee staff, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain documentation, and promote a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment for individuals served.

    Key Responsibilities

    Operations & Compliance

    Assist with daily group home operations in accordance with MN 245D regulations and company policies

    Support compliance with licensing, documentation, and service delivery standards

    Help prepare for audits, reviews, and internal quality checks

    Staff Support & Supervision

    Provide guidance, coaching, and support to staff during shifts

    Help address staff concerns, call-ins, and coverage needs

    Client Care & Support

    Ensure individuals receive services according to their Individual Support Plans (ISP)

    Promote dignity, independence, and person-centered practices

    Assist in responding to incidents, medical needs, and behavioral concerns

    Administrative Duties

    Maintain accurate records (shift notes, incident reports, attendance, training logs)

    Assist with timekeeping and scheduling systems

    Communicate effectively with families, case managers, and external partners

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)

    Minimum 1–2 years of experience in group home, human services, or healthcare settings

    Leadership or supervisory experience preferred

    Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

    Ability to work flexible schedules (evenings, weekends, on-call as needed)

    Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

    Ability to pass background checks as required by MN DHS

    Preferred

    Experience with Minnesota 245D services

    Knowledge of DSP workflows, ISP implementation, and documentation

    CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
