Company Overview: Carbon Performance Franklin is a 30,000+ sq. ft. high-performance fitness facility offering premier strength equipment, personal training, group fitness, strength and conditioning, youth performance programs, and an in-house café/smoothie bar.
Position Summary: We are seeking a driven and proactive Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of Carbon Performance. This role will work closely with the General Manager and department leads to ensure exceptional member experience, staff execution, operational excellence, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, a passion for fitness, and the ability to execute systems and processes consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the General Manager in overseeing front desk/sales, smoothie bar, fitness training, and maintenance teams.
Help train, mentor, and develop team members to deliver a high standard of service and performance.
Maintain a visible leadership presence on the floor to encourage team engagement and accountability.
Assist with onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Promote a positive team culture aligned with Carbon Performance’s values.
Execute lead follow-up, membership presentations, and club tours to drive new member acquisition.
Hold the team accountable for daily sales activities, including outbound call volume and conversion.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and support in implementing strategies to hit monthly goals.
Collaborate with the General Manager on MBR (Monthly Business Review) preparation.
Support smooth daily operations, ensuring staff are executing assigned tasks and shifts are fully covered.
Assist with inventory management, smoothie bar operations, and vendor coordination.
Monitor cleanliness and maintenance standards throughout the facility, addressing issues promptly.
Help implement systems and checklists that uphold operational consistency and quality.
Foster a friendly, inclusive, and high-energy atmosphere for members.
Respond to member concerns and feedback with professionalism and urgency.
Encourage team engagement in community-building efforts, including review generation and service touches.
Promote retention strategies through relationship-building and value-driven service.
Represent Carbon Performance at local events and internal gym functions.
Support execution of 2–3 internal and external events per quarter to build brand awareness and community involvement.
Seek out local partnerships to drive exposure and increase lead generation opportunities.
