We are seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced retail store. This role ensures all aspects of the store run smoothly, including customer service, inventory control, and sales. You will foster a positive and welcoming environment for customers while supporting and developing a productive team. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role is integral to achieving operational excellence and providing an exceptional shopping experience. Responsibilities: • Monitor and mitigate potential security risks, including internal theft and shoplifting • Recruit, hire, and train team members to build a competent, diverse, and motivated workforce • Monitor employee performance, provide coaching and feedback, and support professional development • Participate in regular meetings to review store performance and contribute to improvement strategies • Maintain clear communication with the Store Manager regarding operations, staff performance, and store challenges Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required, or the ability to obtain one through The Excel Center • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees, customers, and management • Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve concerns and ensure satisfaction • Experience cultivating a positive, supportive, and productive workplace environment Compensation: $17 hourly
