We are seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced retail store. This role ensures all aspects of the store run smoothly, including customer service, inventory control, and sales. You will foster a positive and welcoming environment for customers while supporting and developing a productive team. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role is integral to achieving operational excellence and providing an exceptional shopping experience. Responsibilities: • Foster collaboration across departments to meet store objectives and improve operational efficiency • Maintain clear communication with the Store Manager regarding operations, staff performance, and store challenges • Monitor and mitigate potential security risks, including internal theft and shoplifting • Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations and team success • Recruit, hire, and train team members to build a competent, diverse, and motivated workforce Qualifications: • Solid customer service abilities, including resolving concerns and maintaining customer satisfaction • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening • High school diploma or equivalent required, or the ability to obtain one through The Excel Center • Experience cultivating a positive, supportive, and productive workplace environment • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with staff, customers, and leadership Compensation: $17 hourly
