    Job Summary:

    The Assistant Manager plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our family entertainment center, which includes a kitchen, bar, and arcade area. This position will involve overseeing day-to-day operations, managing staff, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring that all areas of the center (kitchen, bar, and game floor) are running smoothly. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager to maintain high standards of service, safety, and fun, ensuring our guests have an enjoyable experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Operational Management:

    Oversee the day-to-day operations of the family entertainment center, including the kitchen, bar, and game floor.

    Ensure the center’s cleanliness, organization, and safety standards are consistently maintained.

    Help manage the arcade and gaming area, ensuring all equipment is functional and properly maintained.

    Assist in monitoring food and beverage services to ensure a high level of quality, presentation, and timely service.

    Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times, including food safety, alcohol service, and gaming areas.

    Staff Management & Training:

    Supervise, train, and motivate staff across all departments (kitchen, bar, and floor staff).

    Assign tasks and provide guidance to team members, ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.

    Help with staff scheduling to ensure sufficient coverage, especially during peak times like weekends and holidays.

    Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and assist with staff development and growth.

    Customer Service & Guest Experience:

    Ensure a fun, engaging, and family-friendly environment for all guests.

    Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure complete satisfaction.

    Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, fostering a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

    Sales & Inventory Control:

    May assist in managing the center's inventory of food, beverages, and arcade supplies, ensuring items are stocked and organized.

    May monitor and help manage costs, including food and beverage waste, and work with the team to meet revenue goals.

    Help implement promotions and special events to boost sales, such as themed nights or game tournaments.

    Event Coordination:

    Assist with the planning and execution of birthday parties, group events, and private functions.

    Ensure that events are running smoothly, including managing guest experiences, coordinating food and beverage service, and facilitating fun activities.

    Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and entertainment teams to ensure events are well-organized and meet guest expectations.

    Communication & Reporting:

    Maintain open communication with the General Manager regarding daily operations, staff issues, and guest feedback.

    Help prepare and review reports on sales, customer feedback, staff performance, and inventory levels.

    Support with administrative tasks, closing procedures, and preparing shift reports.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in a family entertainment center, restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment.

    Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

    Ability to manage multiple areas (kitchen, bar, arcade) and stay organized under pressure.

    Familiarity with food safety standards, alcohol service regulations, and arcade game maintenance.

    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to handle guest concerns and challenges with professionalism and a positive attitude.

    Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Physical Demands:

    Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods of time.

    Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. (e.g., boxes of supplies, gaming equipment).

    Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-energy work environment.

    Working Conditions:

    Work is performed in a high-energy, customer-focused environment.

    Requires a flexible schedule, with a focus on weekends, evenings, and holidays.

    Some tasks may involve exposure to loud noise, especially in the arcade and entertainment areas.
