    Job Description

    This position is responsible for providing leadership, direction and resources to effectively manage retail stores, daily departmental operations and special projects in support of the theme park.

    Essential Functions:

    • Executes strategic plans to optimize store profits while maintaining quality, cleanliness and Guest Service standards. Consistently drive process improvements and efficiencies to enhance Guest Service and retail store operations.
    • Support the creation of a cohesive team while demonstrating organizational, planning, delegation, mentoring and coaching skills.
    • Partner with Human Resources Manager to continuously train, develop and promote all retail teams through individual performance planning.
    • Assist with performance development including administering discipline, resolving employee relation issues and conducting individual and team meetings.
    • Responsible for the development of hourly employees including training, mentoring and coaching.
    • Accountable for maximizing daily sales and effectively managing costs, labor, inventory and cash control, while focusing on exceeding annual financial targets.
    • Ensures that guest service scores and shopper reports are within acceptable targets.
    • Responsible for assisting with the development of weekly schedules, with a focus on maintaining staffing levels that satisfy budget as well as guest service goals.
    • Maintain or exceed weekly budgeted variable operation results: shrink, variable labor, safety, guest service, cleanliness and visual/merchandising presentation.
    • Responsible for monitoring sales performance and making recommendations to maximize current trends.
    • Communicate on a regular basis with the Store Manager and Area Manager regarding locations performance and challenges; make recommendations for improvement when necessary.
    • Review and analyze store performance results daily while identifying and resolving opportunities with the management team.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 years of high-volume retail management experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or related field) or 3 years Industry experience preferred
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
    • Must be available to work on weekends, holidays, and nights as required
    • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walking/traveling to multiple venues throughout the day
    • Excellent written and oral English communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization regarding the operation

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Prior experience in retail management managing 20+ employees is highly desirable.
    • A strong passion for delivering exceptional guest service and enhancing the overall guest experience.
    • Proven ability to achieve results through strategic execution and operational excellence.
    • Effective communicator with the ability to liaise with vendors, employees, and management at all levels.
    • Demonstrated skills in organization, planning, delegation, mentoring, and coaching, with a focus on team development and performance enhancement.

    Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

    Salary range: $29.00 - $32.00
