    Step into our store and surround yourself with the irresistible scents of spices, teas, and gourmet blends from around the world. As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play a key role in guiding our team, delighting customers, and ensuring smooth store operations.

    Responsibilities: An Assistant Manager will be expected to: • Adhere to all The Spice & Tea Exchange® standards and procedures for daily store operations. • Monitor the store's generic email account in the Store Manager's absence. • Relay current information to the Store Manager and staff. • Label merchandise with necessary details, maintain backup labels, and assist in label creation. • Blend, package, and stock products as needed. • Record registrations, write-offs, and invoices in the point-of-sale system; assist with physical inventory; maintain proper stock levels. • Build a rapport with guests to encourage return visits and word-of-mouth advertising. • Uphold and promote The Spice & Tea Exchange® brand. • Ensure accurate daily deposits are made in the absence of the Store Manager. • Implement systems to secure merchandise. • Balance and reconcile register daily at opening and closing. • Assist Store Manager in training, coaching, planning, monitoring, and appraising job performance. • Actively contribute to a cohesive store team. • Aid with social media platforms as directed by the Store Manager.

    Requirements: • High School Diploma/GED • 1-3 years of retail management experience • Proficient Computer skills

    Physical Demands: • Regular use of kitchen tools to prepare daily blends. • Maneuver around sales floor and stockroom; involves bending, standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, reaching, and lifting. • Stand and walk around the store 95% of the time to assist guests and work with the team. • Frequent lifting and moving products weighing up to 50 lbs. • Constantly exposed to our exceptional spice and tea aromas.
