    Instructor Responsibilities (Starting Role)

    Teach students in small groups using the Mathnasium Method™

    Maintain an upbeat, encouraging rapport with students

    Support students in building confidence, problem-solving skills, and independence

    Keep the learning environment organized, positive, and safe

    Provide constructive feedback and ensure students stay engaged

    Assistant Center Director Responsibilities (Growth Role, if selected)

    For those selected to advance into the Assistant Center Director position, additional responsibilities include:

    Warmly greeting every student and parent who enters the center

    Helping students get seated and started on their work

    Building strong relationships with families and discussing student progress

    Supporting enrollment through parent conversations and sales discussions

    Coordinating occasional community events to promote Mathnasium locally

    Leading and coaching instructors to maintain a fun, effective learning culture

    Assisting with daily operations and administrative tasks

    Instructor Schedule

    Flexible scheduling available

    Options include:

    Monday–Thursday: afternoons/evenings (partial shifts possible)

    Saturday: 9:45 AM – 1:30 PM

    Sunday: 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM (optional for instructors only)

    Assistant Center Director Schedule (If Selected)

    Required availability: Monday–Thursday from 2:30 PM – 7:30 PM (must be available all four days to be considered for assistant director)

    Bonus availability: Saturday 9:45 AM – 1:30 PM

    Fridays and Sundays: Off

    Approx. 20–25 hours per week

    Compensation:

    Instructor starting pay: $12 – $15 per hour, based on experience

    Assistant Center Director pay (if promoted): $20 per hour

    This pathway ensures that new hires grow into leadership with the right training, experience, and confidence to succeed.

    Requirements:

    Passion for math and working with students

    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

    Strong math skills through at least Algebra I

    Comfort with:

    Parent communication and progress updates

    Sales conversations with prospective families

    Leading and mentoring a team as you grow

    Occasional event coordination in the local community

    Proficiency with computers and digital tools

    Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on responsibility over time

    Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check

    Must complete a math literacy assessment
