Assistant Operations Manager (NEMT)

Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Operations Manager to support the day-to-day coordination of drivers, schedules, and transportation logistics. This role will assist with staff oversight, route assignments, and service compliance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with drivers and clients, and is willing to step in and drive when coverage is needed.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing daily transportation operations and dispatching routes
Support driver scheduling, route adjustments, and call-offs
Ensure vehicles and drivers are operating in compliance with company and regulatory standards
Provide on-the-road coverage when a driver is unavailable
Maintain communication with clients, caregivers, and staff
Help monitor performance, training needs, and policy adherence
Assist with administrative duties such as documentation, incident reporting, and staff support
Requirements
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to pass CORI/SORI and background screenings
Strong communication and leadership skills
Reliable, professional, and able to problem-solve in real time
Comfortable driving wheelchair-accessible vehicles (training provided if needed)
Schedule & Compensation
Full-time, with occasional on-call coverage as needed
