Accountants One is working with a manufacturing organization that is seeking an Assistant Plant Controller to oversee and manage financial operations at one of its key production facilities. There is a career path to Controller in the next couple of years. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, budget control, compliance, and strategic financial analysis to support organizational goals. The ideal candidate combines financial expertise with operational insight and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and present regular financial reports, identifying trends and variances to support data-driven decisions.
• Lead budget planning and management, ensuring alignment with financial targets through forecasting and expense control.
• Evaluate production-related costs to identify areas for savings and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain strong financial controls to ensure accurate reporting and safeguard assets.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable financial regulations and internal policies.
• Manage inventory valuation processes and perform regular reconciliations.
• Assess capital expenditure proposals and monitor associated budgets.
• Supervise and develop a finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with operational teams to ensure financial alignment across functions.

Qualifications

• CPA, CMA, or similar advanced credentials preferred.
• 5–7 years in financial leadership roles, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory processes, and regulatory standards affecting manufacturing environments.
