About the Role

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Assistant Preschool Teacher to support our 4–5 year old classroom. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children and is committed to creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

As an Assistant Teacher, you will collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support daily classroom routines, learning activities, and the developmental needs of preschool children.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate preschool learning activities.

Support play-based learning, small group activities, and classroom lessons.

Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment.

Encourage children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, and transitions.

Assist with preparing learning materials and classroom setup.

Observe children and support their learning and developmental progress.

Maintain positive communication with teachers, staff, and families.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Additional coursework or experience in Early Childhood Education is a plus.

Experience working with young children or in a childcare/preschool setting preferred.

Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Ability to create a patient, supportive, and engaging environment for children.

Preferred Skills

Experience assisting in a preschool or early learning classroom.

Knowledge of play-based learning and child development basics.

Strong patience, empathy, and classroom support skills.

Passion for helping children build confidence, independence, and curiosity.
