  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Shared Instructional Vision: Support a vision of excellence for all students, with an urgency to maximize every opportunity necessary to achieve ambitious student outcomes
    • Student Learning: Oversee the school's learning program, including the development and execution of an Annual scope and Sequence for each grade level, collaborating with school leaders on curricular decisions, and implementing a strong, fully integrated program for students with special needs and English learners
    • Data & Results: Collect, organize, and facilitate the interpretation and analysis of achievement data to guide instructional decision-making and individual student case management. Actively monitor student achievement outcomes and establish systems to ensure multiple data sources are regularly informing instructional programs
    • _Intervention & Support Services: _Design and implement student intervention plans, in collaboration with teachers and the leadership team, to ensure students reach and exceed grade level standards
    • Adult Learning & Oversight: Lead the school's professional development and evaluation systems, including developing an Annual professional development plan which includes weekly, quarterly, and annual staff training and onboarding, coaching, and evaluating instructional staff
    • Innovation: Develop and execute innovative strategies to ensure every student is receiving a world-class education
    • Administration: Manage master scheduling, Special Ed and EL Compliance, Testing and Campus supervision
    • Other leadership responsibilities, as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • At least five years of classroom teaching experience with strong student achievement outcomes
    • Successful school leadership experience, such as mentor, coach, or administrative role
    • Graduated from a recognized college or university with a master's level or higher degree preferred
    • A valid California Administrative Services credential is preferred
    • Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred

    Working Conditions:

    • Environment: School environment; fast-paced work, constant interruptions.
    • Physical requirements: Hearing and speaking to exchange information, make presentations and communicate over the telephone; seeing to read, prepare, and proofread documents and view computer monitors; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment; kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, to retrieve and store files and supplies; lifting light objects; ability to go to sites apart from primary office to conduct business.

    Pay Range: $105,000.00 - $132,974.72. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.

    • Wonderful College Prep Academy offers highly competitive compensation, commensurate with experience.
    • Full-time staff benefits include medical coverage, dental, vision, and life insurance at no cost to the employee.
    • For eligible employees, WCPA contributes 19% to CalSTRS. Alternatively, employees may participate in a 403(b) plan with up to 5% employer match (if not receiving CalSTRS contributions).
