The Department of Biology and Chemistry at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC, welcomes applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Cellular Biology and Microbiology beginning on August 1, 2026.
The ideal candidate will be a broadly trained biologist with specific expertise in microbiology and cell biology, who is strongly committed to teaching in an undergraduate liberal arts environment. Strong candidates will also have experience teaching Genetics and mentoring undergraduate research. The successful candidate will join the Department of Biology and Chemistry. This department is an interdisciplinary and highly collaborative learning community, with majors in Animal Science, Biochemistry, Biology, and Conservation Biology. This is a full-time, continuing faculty position in an extended contract system.
