Assistant Program Director
Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. is hiring for a full-time Assistant Program Director for their adolescent age residential group home. This person will be responsible for the effective day-to-day functioning of the residential group home.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide individual supervision to Residential Supervisors and Lead Residential Counselors.
Hire, train, evaluate and supervise residential supervisors and staff.
Participate in implementing and monitoring treatment plans; obtain feedback regarding plan effectiveness, compile information, data and present at appropriate meetings with suggestions when indicated.
Works in collaboration with Program Nurse to assist with medical care, scheduling medical appointment, ensuring transportation is scheduled and all required documentation is completed.
Works in collaboration with Program Director and clinical team regarding, coordinating treatment planning meetings and scheduling family visits; including ensuring that transportation is set up.
Provide On-call coverage as determined by Program Director.
Coordinate staff schedules so that minimum staff-to-client ratios are maintained at all times.
Perform other similar duties as assigned or requested by supervisor.
Requirements include the following:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent direct experience of at least five years.
At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
Broad knowledge of non-profit administration and child protective systems.
Knowledge of state regulations pertaining to restraints and holds.
Successful completion of required trainings once hired, including but not limited to CPI, CPR, First Aid
Approved CORI & DCF background checks (preformed by the EEC)
Approved driving background check
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
