    Role & Purpose The Assistant Project Manager (APM) plays a critical role in the daily execution of roofing projects by supporting Project Managers and the Production Coordinator with scheduling, logistics, field communication, documentation, and quality control. This position acts as the bridge between the office, field crews, and customers, ensuring jobs are properly prepared, safely executed, accurately documented, and professionally closed out. The APM role is designed for individuals seeking a long-term career in the roofing industry, offering hands-on experience in production management, leadership development, and a clear path for advancement within Hales Roofing.

    Key Responsibilities ● Organize and schedule roofing jobs in coordination with the Production Coordinator and Project Managers ● Check all job orders to ensure correct materials, quantities, and specifications prior to job start ● Maintain consistent phone communication with foremen and customers throughout production ● Assist foremen with job readiness and logistics ● Perform final job inspections, including photo and video documentation of completed contract scope and any additional work ● Conduct final customer walk-throughs and job exit meetings ● Ensure all documentation is uploaded and accurate (photos, videos, additional work, notes) ● Perform constant safety audits on job sites, addressing unsafe conditions immediately ● Support timely job close-out and readiness for billing and warranty processing

    Qualifications ● Basic computer skills (job management software, email, photo/video uploads) ● Valid driver’s license with a good driving record ● Ability to physically lift up to 60 lbs ● Ability to drive a truck and tow a trailer ● Full-time availability ● Strong communication skills and professionalism with customers and crews ● Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment ● Ability to work at different heights
