Our Assistant Project Manager plays an essential role in organizing, tracking, and executing project deliverables under the direction of a Project Manager. This is an entry-level role with high potential for advancement to a full Project Manager.
The Job
We are seeking a proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will act as a central bridge between team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. You will manage project administration, track timelines, organize documentation, and support day-to-day project operations. This is an ideal role for an aspiring project manager in the restoration field who is looking to gain hands-on experience and grow within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Tracking: Assist in developing detailed project schedules, monitoring timelines, and identifying potential bottleneck risks.
Documentation & Administration: Maintain comprehensive project records, update internal systems, and log change requests.
Meeting Management: Organize project meetings, prepare comprehensive agendas, and distribute action-oriented meeting minutes.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a collaborative point of contact for subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
Financial Support: Assist with basic cost tracking, invoice reviews, and budget tracking metrics.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent real-world experience.
Software Skills: High proficiency with productivity tools like Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and project management systems
Soft Skills: Superior verbal and written communication capabilities alongside sharp, proactive problem-solving skills.
Administrative Skills: Excellent organizer and problem solver who ensures our jobs remain safe, on time, and within budget
Physical Requirement
Must be able to climb and scope roofs
Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 80% of the time
The person in this position needs to frequently move about a customer job site (indoors and outdoors)
Occasionally ascends and descends a ladder to service customer sites
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, fax machine, copy machine, and computer printer.
Must be able to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents
Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to face
Occasionally will lift up to 50lbs
Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
