Assistant Project Supervisor

Role Summary
The Assistant Project Supervisor is a field-based support role responsible for assisting the Project Supervisor and Project Manager in executing Halco projects safely, cleanly, and efficiently. This role acts as the eyes and ears on the jobsite, ensuring standards are maintained, communication flows effectively, and issues are identified and addressed early. The Assistant Project Supervisor supports daily jobsite operations including coordination, documentation, logistics, and organization while helping crews and subcontractors stay productive and aligned. In a small business environment, this role is essential in maintaining consistency across jobsites, supporting leadership, and ensuring projects remain on track.
Core Responsibilities
Jobsite Presence & Support
Act as an on-site support representative for Halco projects Attend key project activities including deliveries, installations, and inspections Serve as the eyes and ears for the Project Supervisor and Project Manager Monitor jobsite activity and provide proactive updates on progress and issues Support crews and subcontractors to maintain workflow and efficiency
Site Cleanliness & Organization
Ensure jobsites remain clean, organized, and professional throughout all phases Perform regular site check-ins to maintain standards Organize material staging areas for efficiency and safety Coordinate and assist with end-of-day cleanup when needed Support post-phase cleanup and jobsite demobilization
Site Setup & Protection
Assist with project setup and job starts to ensure readiness Install and maintain site protection (floor protection, barriers, etc.) Verify projects are properly prepared for incoming work phases Ensure jobsite presentation reflects company standards at all times
Documentation & Reporting
Complete daily logs, photo documentation, and updates in Buildertrend Capture site photos, videos, and space scans as required Provide detailed, accurate accounts of daily jobsite activity Track progress, delays, and issues and communicate to leadership Ensure documentation is timely, organized, and complete
Logistics, Deliveries & Materials
Coordinate and receive material deliveries on-site Act as a runner for materials, tools, and urgent project needs Manage jobsite and warehouse inventory as assigned Ensure materials are properly stored, protected, and staged for use Track missing or damaged materials and report promptly
Communication & Coordination
Relay information between Project Supervisor, Project Manager, crews, and subcontractors Assist in coordinating subcontractor schedules and site readiness Address minor issues proactively before escalation is required Escalate issues appropriately with clear and timely communication Maintain a professional, calm, and solution-oriented presence on-site
Inspections & Project Flow Support
Attend inspections when available and represent Halco professionally Help ensure jobsites are inspection-ready Support project transitions between phases Assist in keeping projects moving forward according to schedule
Small Business Support
Assist other teams and projects as needed Support material pickups, deliveries, and operational needs Contribute to problem-solving beyond defined responsibilities Represent Halco positively in all client, subcontractor, and public interactions Perform other duties as required in a small business environment
Buildertrend (daily logs, photos, documentation) Jobsite checklists and reporting tools Photo/video capture tools and scanning technology Inventory tracking systems (as applicable)

Skills & Qualifications
2–5 years of residential construction or related field experience Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with multiple stakeholders Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits Ability to identify issues early and escalate appropriately Comfortable working outdoors and moving between multiple jobsites Self-motivated, proactive, and dependable Basic understanding of construction processes and sequencing

Jobsites remain clean, organized, and well-prepared Accurate and consistent daily documentation Deliveries and logistics run smoothly with minimal disruption Issues are identified early and resolved or escalated appropriately Strong communication between field and project leadership Positive feedback from Project Supervisors, Project Managers, and clients

Projects are well-supported at the field level, allowing Project Supervisors and Project Managers to focus on execution and decision-making. Jobsites remain organized, professional, and efficient. Communication gaps are minimized, and problems are addressed early. The overall project experience improves for both the team and the client.
