Assistant Director – Primrose School of Fairfax

Do you have a passion for early childhood education and a heart for helping children, families, and teachers succeed? At Primrose School of Fairfax, we are seeking a warm, dedicated, and organized Assistant Director to join our leadership team and help guide our school community.

Our leadership team plays a vital role in ensuring that every child feels loved and every teacher feels supported.

What You’ll Do: As Assistant Director, you will work alongside the School Director to:

Support daily operations of the school with a focus on safety, quality, and care

Foster strong relationships with children, families, and staff

Guide teachers in implementing curriculum and maintaining high classroom standards

Assist with scheduling, training, and mentoring staff

Conduct family tours and support enrollment efforts

Help plan events, family engagement activities, and special programs

Ensure compliance with state licensing and Primrose School standards

What We’re Looking For:

CDA or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (required)

Minimum 2 years of experience in early childhood education or school leadership

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to lead with warmth, professionalism, and positivity

A flexible, team-oriented approach

A true love for working with children and supporting families
