The Role: Visionz Designs is seeking an Assistant Screen Print Press Operator to join our team. Reporting to the Screen Print & Embroidery Manager, a successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Lead Screen Print Press Operator in setting up and operating an automatic screen printing press to ensure timely delivery of orders. A keen eye for quality control and the ability to spot and troubleshoot defects is a must.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Lead Screen Print Operator in the set up and operation of automatic screen printing presses to print designs on various garments such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and other apparel items.

Assist the Lead Screen Print Operator in loading screens, inks and squeegees into screen printing press.

Follow job tickets and artwork specifications to ensure correct placement, registration, and color.

Unload printed garments from screen printing press and transfer them to conveyor dryer.

Perform QC checks during print runs and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Follow instructions from the Screen Print & Embroidery Manager and Lead Screen Printing Press Operator and follow production schedules to meet deadlines.

Breakdown screen printing press when production runs are complete. Removing screens, ink and squeegees.

Follow cleaning and maintenance schedules to ensure a safe and organized workspace.

Working in other departments may be required from time to time.

Experience:

Experience in a screen printing environment or similar role.

Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.

Ability to take instruction and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to problem solve and adapt to a changing work environment.

Ability to work under pressure.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks as part of the screen printing process
