We’re looking for a server assistant who is enthusiastic and excels in a fast-paced environment. As a server assistant, you’ll be bringing customers to their seats, helping serve food, refilling water glasses and other beverages, and restocking food items in the kitchen and servers’ stations. You’ll clear and clean tables, and reset them with tableware and napkins for the next guests. You’ll also field customer inquiries and menu questions and let servers know when they are needed. You should know about food safety rules, and having previous food experience is preferred but not required. Responsibilities: • Bring customers beverages, refill glasses, bring extra plates or napkins to customers, and make sure condiments are refilled and brought to the table • Seat customers, respond to any special needs and requests quickly, and relay them to the waiter or manager, if necessary • Clear dirty dishes from tables, clean tables, and prepare for the next guests by resetting tables with clean silverware and napkins • Responsible for delivering food to the table on time, making sure to ask if customers need anything more before leaving • Keep track of kitchen inventory to make sure kitchen and server stations are fully stocked with all the supplies needed Qualifications: • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required • Know the basics of how to handle food items and kitchen equipment • Comfortable with frequent, extended periods of standing, lifting, and bending for the entire shift and/or closing • Previous food service industry or QSR experience is preferred but not mandatory • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays and to help out with extra shifts as needed Compensation: $13 - $15 hourly
