We’re looking for a server assistant who is enthusiastic and excels in a fast-paced environment. As a server assistant, you’ll be bringing customers to their seats, helping serve food, refilling water glasses and other beverages, and restocking food items in the kitchen and servers’ stations. You’ll clear and clean tables, and reset them with tableware and napkins for the next guests. You’ll also field customer inquiries and menu questions and let servers know when they are needed. You should know about food safety rules, and having previous food experience is preferred but not required. Responsibilities: • Bring customers beverages, refill glasses, bring extra plates or napkins to customers, and make sure condiments are refilled and brought to the table • Keep track of kitchen inventory to make sure kitchen and server stations are fully stocked with all the supplies needed • Responsible for delivering food to the table on time, making sure to ask if customers need anything more before leaving • Reset tables for the next guests by clearing away dirty dishes, and setting new place settings, napkins, and silverware • Seat customers, respond to any special needs and requests quickly, and relay them to the waiter or manager, if necessary Qualifications: • Comfortable with frequent, extended periods of standing, lifting, and bending for the entire shift and/or closing • Experience working in the food services or QSR industry is preferred • This position requires a high school diploma or a GED equivalent • Know the basics of how to handle food items and kitchen equipment • Prepared to work nights, weekends, some holidays and help out team members with shifts when needed Compensation: $12 hourly
