About the Role

Wenger Construction is expanding our Service Division and is looking for an experienced and dependable Commercial Service Technician to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone with at least 2 years of construction experience, especially in commercial roofing and/or siding , who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial building exteriors.

As a Service Technician, you'll inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial roofing, siding, and sheet metal systems while providing exceptional customer service. You'll work independently and alongside an experienced team to deliver high-quality repairs safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on commercial roofing, siding, and sheet metal systems.
• Diagnose building issues and recommend effective repair solutions.
• Repair or replace roofing, siding, flashing, sealants, gutters, trim, and other exterior building components.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other construction equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, project drawings, and work orders.
• Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
• Follow all OSHA and Wenger Construction safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of construction experience required.
• Roofing and/or siding experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial roofing, siding, or sheet metal systems is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the team.
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including climbing ladders, lifting up to 75 pounds, and working at heights.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Wisconsin.

Other Requirements

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
