SCHEDULE: Seasonal (Tuesday–Sunday, afternoons through close of operations during golf season)
COMPENSATION: Hourly

Burning Tree Country Club is seeking a professional, organized, and service-driven Golf Assistant Starter to support daily golf operations and ensure a seamless Member experience.
This position plays a key role in managing the staging area, tee sheet flow, and bag operations while maintaining a visible and welcoming presence for Members and guests. Working closely with the Director of Golf and Golf Professional Staff, the Golf Assistant Starter helps coordinate daily play, support administrative needs, and uphold the highest standards of service and organization.

As a Golf Assistant Starter, you play an important role in ensuring the flow and experience of daily golf operations.
• Interact daily with Members, guests, and staff to provide exceptional service
• Manage and maintain the organization and presentation of the staging area, bag area, and golf operations spaces
• Coordinate with the Golf Professional Staff to ensure proper setup and flow of play
• Maintain a visible and accessible presence for Members at all times
• Assist with managing tee sheet flow and daily rounds
• Ensure rental sets are issued, charged, returned, and cleaned properly
• Update Point of Sale (POS) systems and assist with daily administrative tasks
• Support communication between golf operations staff and leadership
• Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional golf operation at all times
• Deliver a seamless and positive experience for Members and guests
• Demonstrate professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership
• Support daily operations with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
Education & Experience
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Skills & Competencies
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems
• Basic bookkeeping or administrative experience preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Communication Skills
• Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with Members and staff
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to stand and remain active for up to 8 hours per day
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
