About the Role
At Straub Collaborative, we produce high-volume e-commerce content for leading retail brands—and we do it fast, with precision, and as a team.
As an Assistant Stylist, you'll support the styling team in bringing looks to life on set. From prepping garments to executing quick changes, you'll play a key role in keeping shoots running smoothly and ensuring every product is camera-ready.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, pays attention to the details, and wants real exposure to studio production.
What You'll Do
On-Set Styling Support
- Assist stylists with dressing models and executing on-set adjustments
- Perform garment prep (steaming, lint rolling, pinning, clipping, tagging)
- Maintain consistency across shots (fit, drape, accessory placement)
- Prep upcoming looks to minimize downtime between shots
- Support quick changes and organize looks by shoot order
Garment Preparation & Product Handling
- Receive, unpack, and organize incoming product
- Prepare all wardrobe to be camera-ready (steam, iron, lint removal, minor repairs)
- Track and label items to align with shot lists and production briefs
- Manage product flow from prep → on set → wrap → return
- Assist with packing, returns, and product transfers post-shoot
Pre-Shoot Setup
- Set up styling stations, racks, and prep areas
- Organize wardrobe pulls, accessories, and props
- Restock styling kits (pins, clips, tape, etc.)
Wardrobe & Inventory
- Maintain organization of wardrobe areas, racks, and storage
- Organize styling tools, accessories, and props
- Track inventory and flag missing or damaged items
Workflow & Team Support
- Assist with styling decks and production documents
- Follow styling guides to ensure consistency across shoots
- Communicate product readiness and issues impacting shoot flow
- Support general studio operations as needed
****What You Bring
- 0–2+ years of experience in styling, retail, costume, or studio environments (internships included)
- Interest in fashion styling and e-commerce production
- Basic garment care knowledge (steaming, ironing, fabric handling)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move throughout the day (cement studio floors)
- Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 lbs
- Repetitive hand use (steaming, pinning, prepping, tagging)
- Ability to work in active studio and warehouse environments
Work Environment
- Fast-paced e-commerce production studio
- On-set and warehouse environment
- Work performed under production lighting and active shoot conditions
