    Data Center Assistant Superintendent

     

    Responsibility Statement

    Supervises the field construction of a project as the assistant superintendent, including its organization, planning, and scheduling, in order to complete the work on time, within budget, and to quality specified.

     

    Safety Responsibilities

    • Assist in developing and managing the overall site safety program as required and ensuring subcontractor compliance with company standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
    • Assure the implementation and continuous maintenance of the corporate safety program requirements during the course of the work on a project.
    • Ensure subcontractor compliance with company Safety Program and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
    • Perform weekly SafetyNet Inspections
    • Conduct weekly Critical Safe Behavior Reviews
    • Back up for Site Safety Manager and CSA Superintendents on night shift and weekends when required
    • Attend, participate in daily huddles and trade PTP development
    • Ensure that effective reviews of ALL trade PTP’s are being conducted and that feedback is being provided promptly to mitigate the occurrence of safety incidents
    • Coordinate with Site Safety Manager.
    • Maintains a safe and clean project

    QA/QC Responsibilities

    • Assists with developing and manage the overall site quality program as required and ensuring subcontractor compliance with company standards.
    • Assist, train, and provide oversight for the QA/QC Manager
    • Manage the work to ensure that it is installed in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents.
    • Implement mock-ups and associated testing, review and approval.
    • Responsible to ensure that mockup/benchmarking are scheduled properly and timely.
    • Works with the Engineering Manager to ensure that the level of quality that the documents intend is met so that future reference can be made.
    • Monitor the quality and status of the subcontractors construction documents
    • Identifies, enters, tracks and closes QC items
    • Reviews mock up list and provides input on required mock-ups
    • Inspects ongoing work and work in place, using site specific checklists
    • Coordinates scheduling of company, third party, and city inspections through the QCM
    • Ensures finished work is protected
    • Develops work to complete lists
    • Performs final walk through with company and Design Team
    • Assist with developing punch list
    • Ensure that MEP, Cx, and other inspections and process are being followed
    • Attend Cx Meetings and coordinate related site construction activities
    • Responsible for development of the temporary conditioning and enclosure plan in conjunction with the MEP Superintendent

    General Responsibilities/Site Specific

    • Become fully versed in the requirements of the agreement
    • Know the subcontractors’ scope and contract, and changes
    • Develop and implement overall project work schedules identifying the critical path including the expediting of scheduled critical materials and equipment for their timely delivery to site.
    • Ensure all necessary permits and insurance are in place and kept current for the term of the project. Acting as liaison to inspection agencies.
    • Works with the Engineering Manager to ensure that the ROJ log is current and that priorities are communicated across the entire project.
    • Works with the BIM manager to ensure that BIM efforts are prioritized and that the BIM schedule is on track and allows for the project schedule to be maintained.
    • Implement Daily Construction Reporting (DCR) procedures and assure they are completed per company policy. Actual input may be delegated.
    • Ensure that all DCRs from trade contractors are reviewed by staff everyday
    • Complete a project level DCR in your own words as to the happenings of the day.
    • Place calls to subcontractors to schedule their manpower and start dates for each trade.
    • Review the project on a daily basis, verify that subcontractor work and labor is correct and is of good workmanship.
    • Work with Sr. PM’s in the forecasting/monitoring of the General Condition items such as tools, cleaning supplies, safety masks, etc.
    • Provide oversight of cleaning and other self-perform operations.
    • Review and monitor distribution of RFIs / CSIs / Changes to the field
    • Coordinate with Engineering and Controls Managers for SAP management and issuance of changes to the field.
    • Responsible for ensuring all superintendents are developing, implementing, and tracking Weekly Work Plans (WWP) for their areas.
    • Provide and ensures all staff are providing weekly schedule updates to the scheduler.
    • Ensure that a TEN WEEK LOOK AHEAD for project is being utilized and is updated prior to the subcontractor six week look ahead meetings per meeting schedule.
    • Ensure that recovery schedules are being developed and utilized to maintain completion dates
    • Responsible for coordination of site logistics.
    • Coordinate, direct and monitor the activities of subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Review and approve subcontractors schedule of values and monthly pay request
    • Participate as a Lead in the ORM meeting.
    • Participate as a Lead in the OAC meeting.
    • Responsible for ensuring all superintendents are scheduling Pull Plans for their areas.
    • Ensure all dig permits area being reviewed by VDC team and our team before any excavations occur.
    • Perform other duties as needed.
    • Ensure that all fragments due to changes are incorporated and accepted in the schedule
    • Being an active participant in planning site logistics, schedules, productions for future builds for the client
  • Compensation
    $90,000 per year
