Location: The Learning Experience – East Brunswick, NJ Pay: $17–$18 per hour Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Assistant Teacher – Early Childhood Education

The Learning Experience – East Brunswick is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our 2-Year-Old classroom. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping young children develop independence, communication skills, and confidence while working alongside an experienced Lead Teacher.

Responsibilities

Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment

Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering, toileting, transitions, and outdoor play

Engage children in hands-on learning activities that promote language, social-emotional, and cognitive development

Encourage independence and positive behaviors through consistent routines and guidance

Help prepare classroom materials and maintain a clean, organized learning environment

Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators

Follow all New Jersey childcare licensing regulations and health and safety standards

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required

Previous experience in a childcare, daycare, or preschool setting preferred

CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus

Patient, energetic, and dependable

Strong communication and teamwork skills

CPR and First Aid certification preferred
