Assistant Teacher : Part-time

The Assistant Teacher (floater) provides consistent support across classrooms, stepping in where needed to ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all students. This role is essential in maintaining smooth daily operations and fostering a strong sense of community among staff and children.

Responsibilities:

Partner with the Director and Lead Teachers to assist, supervise, and actively engage with students.

Provide classroom coverage and support as needed throughout the shift.

Help maintain a safe, structured, and welcoming classroom environment.

Contribute ideas, creativity, and teamwork to strengthen the program.

Assist in fostering a strong sense of community among staff, students, and families.

Attend all required staff meetings and professional development trainings.

Requirements:

High energy, engaging, and team-oriented mindset

Associate's Degree or minimum of 2 years experience in early childhood or a related field

Minimum of 2,500 documented childcare hours or equivalent education coursework

Ability to confidently interact with children and provide direction when needed

Warm, upbeat, and professional demeanor

Strong communication skills

Must successfully pass all required background, fingerprint, and reference checks
