Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified Assistant Teacher to prepare small children ages 12 months - 12 years old. This position will provide a foundation for quality early childhood education. An Assistant Teacher must have a great passion, love, and patience for teaching young children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include but are not limited to knowledge of best practices in early childhood. The teacher will create and promote a positive learning environment for all. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate to the next level of the educational journey.

Qualifications:
Be at least 18 years of age
Have a High school diploma or equivalent education
Complete and able to pass all background checks
Valid/Current Fingerprint Clearance Card
Certification in First Aid/CPR or obtain certification upon hire
Complete tuberculosis test within 14 days upon hire
Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a large group of children
Possess a strong work ethic, be punctual and have minimum absences
Have an awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities
Be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children up to 40lbs
Have dependable transportation and able to be flexible with classroom assignment
Required Expectations: Ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, and physical needs as well as their educational needs. Utilize developmentally appropriate practice methods at all times. Be warm and nurturing with children. Be a positive role model for all caregiving staff and children. Be customer service orientated and professional at all times.
