Job description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team at an Early Learning Center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, particularly those with special needs, and be committed to providing a nurturing learning environment.

Duties

• Assist the lead teachers in the classroom each afternoon.
• Support students in their academic and social development
• Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques to support student learning

Experience

• Previous experience working with children, especially in a preschool or special education setting
• Knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education principles
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Job Types: Part-time 1pm to 5 or 5:30 pm. Monday through Friday

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (Salary determined by qualifications and experience)

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
