Assistant Teacher – Early Childhood Classrooms

The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support classrooms serving infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. This role focuses on helping maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment while supporting teachers with daily routines and learning experiences.

This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy working as part of a collaborative teaching team in a structured early childhood setting.

Key Responsibilities

Support classroom routines and daily learning activities

Assist with developmentally appropriate experiences across age groups

Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment

Help guide children through meals, transitions, and learning centers

Support classroom preparation and activity setup

Communicate professionally with families and team members

Follow all New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma required

Prior childcare or preschool experience preferred

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Reliable, nurturing, and professional approach

Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements
