Assistant Teacher – Early Childhood Education Location: The Learning Experience – Ledgewood, NJ Schedule: Full-Time , Monday–Friday Pay: $16-$17 per hour

The Learning Experience – Ledgewood is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our classrooms and help create a positive, engaging learning environment for young children. This role is ideal for someone with childcare experience who enjoys working as part of a collaborative teaching team.

Our center provides a structured, play-based environment where children build confidence, independence, and early learning skills through consistent routines and meaningful interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Lead Teachers in implementing daily lessons and activities aligned with The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum

Help maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment

Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering, rest time, and classroom transitions

Engage with children through play, positive guidance, and age-appropriate learning activities

Observe children and share relevant updates with the teaching team

Build positive relationships with families through professional communication

Follow all NJ DCF licensing requirements, health standards, and center policies

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Prior childcare experience required

Reliable, nurturing, and team-oriented

Ability to meet all New Jersey childcare licensing and background requirements
