SoftWash Hawaii is looking for dependable, capable individuals who want to learn a skilled trade, take responsibility, and grow with a developing company.

This is not simply a helper position.

Our goal is to develop technicians we can trust to get the job done without the owner standing beside them.

You don't need soft washing experience. We will train you.

You do need accountability, responsibility, mechanical aptitude, common sense, and the willingness to learn.

TRAINABLE — You listen, retain what you're taught, apply it, and become increasingly capable. Training should result in greater independence—not someone continually doing your job for you.

This probably isn't the right position if you frequently have difficulty getting to work on time, need repeated reminders, expect someone else to solve every problem, become defensive when corrected, regularly call out, or are primarily interested in what you can earn without considering the responsibility that comes with it.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You'll learn SoftWash Hawaii's professional exterior cleaning and property-preservation systems while assisting with:

Equipment, chemical, tool, and vehicle preparation

Roof, exterior, solar panel, siding, concrete, window, and related services

Basic equipment operation and troubleshooting

Property and landscaping protection

Ladders, roofs, and elevated work using required safety systems

Job-site setup, execution, cleanup, and equipment reset

Identifying and communicating problems before they become larger problems

Maintaining professional standards around customers and their property

This is physical outdoor work in Hawaiʻi's heat, humidity, wind, and changing weather.

CAREER GROWTH

Assistant Technician is an entry point—not necessarily a destination.

Employees who demonstrate reliability, technical ability, ownership, safety, leadership, and consistent performance may advance into:

Lead Technician → Advanced Field Roles → Crew Leadership → Training → Operations → Other Leadership Opportunities

We promote based on capability, consistency, attitude, responsibility, and results—not simply time with the company.

COMPENSATION

Assistant Technician: $16–$18/hour + 1%–2% production commission

Paid training is provided.

Lead Technician opportunities include increased hourly compensation, production commission, and responsibility.

FIRST 21 DAYS

Every new technician begins with a 21-Day Field Evaluation Period.

The question we're ultimately trying to answer is simple:

Can we trust you to learn the job, take ownership, and eventually execute work without constant supervision?

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must live on Oʻahu, reliably commute to Ewa Beach, have dependable transportation and a valid driver's license, provide a driver abstract, complete required background/drug screening and DISC assessment, be physically capable of demanding outdoor work, lift up to 75 lbs., and be comfortable working from ladders, roofs, and elevated surfaces.
