    Position Summary

    The Assistant Toddler Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a warm, structured, and developmentally appropriate classroom for toddlers. This role is ideal for a caring, dependable educator who enjoys working with young children and is eager to grow professionally in early childhood education.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent (required)

    Coursework in Early Childhood Education, CDA (in progress or completed), or prior toddler classroom experience (preferred)

    Experience working with toddlers or young children at least 2 years

    Ability to meet state licensing and TLE requirements

    CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

    Key Responsibilities

    Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities

    Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment

    Assist with daily routines including diapering, potty training, meals, nap time, and transitions

    Actively engage with children through play, conversation, and positive guidance

    Observe children’s behavior and development and share insights with the Lead Teacher

    Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations

    Communicate respectfully and professionally with families and team members

    Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
