    Position Summary

    We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant UPK Teacher to support our Universal Pre-K classroom. The Assistant UPK Teacher works collaboratively with the Lead UPK Teacher to implement curriculum, maintain classroom routines, and ensure a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment that supports the developmental needs of four-year-old children.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent (required)

    Coursework in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or Associate’s Degree (preferred)

    Experience working with preschool or pre-kindergarten aged children required

    Ability to meet all state UPK, licensing, and TLE requirements

    CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

    Key Responsibilities

    Support the Lead UPK Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and curriculum activities

    Assist with classroom management, transitions, and daily routines

    Help prepare materials and learning centers aligned with UPK standards

    Actively engage children in learning through play, discussion, and hands-on activities

    Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment

    Observe children’s behavior and development and communicate observations to the Lead Teacher

    Support positive behavior guidance and social-emotional development

    Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations

    Communicate professionally with families and team members

    Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
