About the Role:

Hope for Kids Childcare Center in Duluth, MN is looking for a passionate and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our dedicated team! Responsibilities:

Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans

Supervise and engage children in a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment

Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and play areas

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's daily progress

Help manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques

Assist with meals, snacks, rest time, and daily routines

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred

Prior experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting is a plus

Genuine passion for child development and early childhood education

Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills

Ability to pass a background check as required by state childcare regulations

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Reliable, punctual, and a collaborative team player
